Well, the dog is gone!!! I am so happy we found it's home.
I went to the Chiropracter last night. All I can saw is wow! It was definately an expereince. First, they put these little circular patches on your back that have wires attached and send a pulse to your muscles. I did this for about 10 min. This was a little weird and it didn't hurt, but it didn't really feel relaxing or anything. Then, I laid down on this big padded bed and it felt like a bowling ball was under all the padding moving up and down your back in a slow rythemic wave. Now that was relaxing. When, I finally got to see the dr. she said one of my legs was shorter than the other and my hips were twisted. I was thinking great, I am going to have to wear those stupid shoes with different heel heights! Great. Thank God, that's not the case! She pressed, stretched, cracked, popped and twisted (or untwisted) me. Nothing hurt at all. It actually felt quite good. I am going back Monday to see how I'm doing and probably do it all over again, since it takes awhile to retrain your muscles to be how they are supposed to be and not all screwed up. I actually felt pretty good last night. The tension and stress I felt in my muscles was almost gone, still a little pain though. I iced my back twice (she said to use cold not hot) and went to bed at 8:00. I felt decent this morning, but the pain is coming now, but that is to be expected after all I had done to my back. I do feel like I'm addressing the source of the problem instead of masking the pain. Hopefully, it will start to feel better soon.

Chiropractors are kind of like auto mechanics. When you need one, you really need one. But you don't know if you have a good one until you go a few times.
If you find a good one, they're irreplaceable.
I diddo Brad. I miss Dr. Smith :( She was so great. I need one like her in South Bend.
Glad you are feeling a little better!
I hope it helps. Sounds pretty good so far.
That rocks! I went to a chiro here and they put me on a table that bends a person at the waist. My lower back always causes me problems. Anyhow, it stretched the muscles in my lower back that are impossible to stretch on my own. I wanted them to just leave me on it and was mad when they turned it off. Hehehehe!
I also went for my first ever massage last Friday. It was a prenatal massage. Very worthwhile.
Anyhow, glad you are feeling better!!! Glad you found a good home for the pup, too.
Oh my gosh! Me and my dad have the same problems. First my hip goes out, then my pelvis turns, and then finally the lower back gives out and I can't move. It takes several trips to get it to stay but mine never does. I just go until its feeling pretty great again and then its usually a couple of years before I have to go back. I have bad news though, my chiro said he couldn't believe that I could bear children like that. He said he couldn't imagine what kind of pain my lower back and hips must have been under...and he was right, my hips and back are in awful pain. They aren't right until I go back after having the baby. The pain will shoot down my legs and I can even feel it in my fingers when I get to the last few weeks. Good thing pregnant goes away huh?!?
Gosh, are we all getting old or what! LOL
Let me tell you it does not get any better the older you get either! Back problems are one of the biggest problems people complain about. Mine has been bad for years.
Hey, check out my blog when you get a second! :)
