At it again...
I don't have much to say today. It's been a slow week with Chris gone. With all my extra time I have been thinking about my next home improvement project. I know I should have learned by now, but I really want to do a backsplash in my kitchen. It shouldn't cost too much and I think it would be a good way to get some experience with tiling (in case I try to tackle the bathroom floors later ;) ) I just can't decide what look I want to do. I know I should keep it pretty simple and general for down the road when we sell, but I want something more than just plain 4x4 tiles. I have been looking at those premade borders but can't pick one. I like a lot of them. Also, a while back we bought some mosaic ones that are brown, gold and cream colored, pretty neutral. We bought them for a bathroom but never got around to that yet and they could possibly work in the kitchen instead, but I don't know. I want to be sure that whatever I do will look good no matter what else we do in the kitchen later like the floors and/or countertops. I don't know that I want to be tied to brown, gold and cream. We have stainless appliances so I thought gray might help tie them in the room more. I think they kind of stick out right now. I am also torn between a more traditional look or a little more modern (but not too modern). With my faux finish the traditional look would be best, but I could always repaint...agian. I dont' know that future buyers will like my gold walls anyway. AAAHHHH too many decisions. I need a designer because I can't be objective in my own house.

I'm waiting on you to learn so that you can teach me!!
Maybe you should pick up a small board and use some cheap tiles and practice on it? If it turns out ok put some legs on it or stack it on some landscape bricks and make it a patio table!
