Practice Test

From about 5:00 p.m. we were already in a Tornado Watch last night. It hadn't even started raining or was even that cloudy. Well, I was relaxing on the couch watching the new 90210 and decided to let Marley out before the storm hit. As soon, as I let him out I got another test message. I had been getting them all night for the weather so I figured great another one. I thought better not be a tornado warning. Sure enough it was. I ran back to the door and asked Marley if he wanted to go bye bye. I think he thought I was kidding because it took a few times before he ran back inside. We loaded up and went over to Chris' aunts house because she has a basement. I usually get the text about 15 seconds before the sirens go off. Last night, though, the sirens never went off in Pittsburg. The storm was a little north west of us moving north east so we were not quite in its path. Our county was still in the warning though and they kept breaking in on the TV but they never once blew the sirens!? I thought it was a little odd though. We joked that they weren't ready in February to blow the tornado sirens and couldn't find the key! Haha! So anyway, I guess we got a good practice run in before the season really gets started.
