Productive

It was a very productive weekend. I got everything done that I set out to do and a little more! Well, the only thing left is the army stuff, but I can't do anything with that. We started cleaning out and reorganizing the utility room which resulted in some bickering. So, Chris, not feeling quite well yet, quit and went to playing the xbox. :/ So, I went back to working. Since, I was a still little peeved I continued into the garage. Got that a little better looking and swept out the leaves. There were 2 big trash bags full of crap I cleaned out! The trash men are going to love us today...hehe. Chris did end up working on the office a little bit. But, I really wanted to get the laundry basket full of papers gone through, but I guess that was not in the cards. Oh well, things to look alot better now. I even mopped the floors and then Chris vacummed.

I spent half the day making ham and beans. I've never made them before and wanted to try. They turned out pretty good and since it was such a huge pot we shared with some friends that evening. Then, the boys played some Rock Band 2. It was pretty entertaining. Then, we finally made it out to the bonfire! That was fun too.

Sunday, we mostly relaxed, besides doing laundry. I went to Walmart to start a little project I am doing. Now that we have a Sam's Club membership I wanted to compare prices between Sam's and Walmart to see who is cheeper and by how much. So, I made a list of the things we buy all the time like toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc. (I didn't include any grocery items though.) I went and priced all the stuff at walmart and what the qty. was. I had a receipt from Sam's from a couple weeks ago from my first trip and entered all the information and figured the price per qty. for each item. I don't have all the prices for Sam's yet, but so far, they have either beat or equaled the Walmart price. Usually, by just a few cents...but it adds up. Plus, you get a lot more at Sam's so you don't have to buy as often.

It was a busy, but good weekend. I feel good to have gotten so much done and now I won't feel bad relaxing later this week and taking it easy!

It feels so good to be productive. I am glad your ham and bean turned out good. I love those.

**I posted this on my blog too, but I thought you would read it here first.**

There is no secret. Just weight watchers. I really am not hungry too often, but yes there are plenty of times I crave bad food.

They have a points system. Like at my weight I get 21 points a day. Well an apple is 2 points. A mcdonalds cheeseburger is 7 points. You can eat whatever you want, but when your points are gone for the day you have to stop. It basicly teaches you to choose healthy food so you can eat more and use less points. ;)
